Men's Personalized Nautilus Bronze Necklace - Masculine Balance & Strength

A handcrafted, solid and pure golden bronze nautilus dog tag hangs on a sterling silver black oxidized chain. This makes for a rich and earthy contrast. Personalize this masculine piece with up to 3 initials on the front or a date, name or very short message on the back. This piece is custom made to order. The nautilus shell represents   balance, strength, beauty, consistency and continual growth.

The finished pendant is approx 22mm wide x 40mm tall. The standard length chain in a 2mm solid sterling silver oxidized or bright silver 20" ball chain with lobster clasp.

How it's made:

It starts as a bronze clay that can be molded, stamped and textured in any way imaginable. All materials are 100% eco-friendly and recycled metals. I roll the clay and weigh it for a uniform size. You will see that the finished piece is quite thick and substantial in weight giving it a beautiful wearable strength. I roll it and press and nautilus shell texture into the clay. I can now cut the textured pendant in the shape of a modern dog tag. No 2 pieces will ever be the same. It will be perfectly imperfect with raw edges and a rustic, old world feel with texture lines. I then let it dry, sand it to smoothness, and fire in a kiln for approx 9 hours. Once fired, it is solid, pure bronze. I then wire brush it, file and sand it some more. It's rustic appearance comes from a hand hammered texture I create with a texturing hammer in strategic places and when I'm happy with the texture I oxidize the piece to leave dark in the low areas and to highlight the high areas. Finally it goes in a tumbler for a final glimmering polish and to add extra strength. Long 2-3 day process, Yes. But sooooo worth it!!
