Personalized Fine Silver Angel Wing and Wax Seal Initial Charms - Loving Memories Initial Necklace

This completely handcrafted very thick and beautiful unisex angel wing necklace with one wax seal inital charm is made of pure precious silver and can be personalized with a name, an inspirational word or date on the back. I've made this as a memory piece with the name of the person I am missing on the back, my angel. Weighty, thick and stunning!

This piece measures approx 1 1/2" long and approx 3/4" at the widest point. The initial wax seal is also fine silver and is an iregular shape of approx 3/4"

How it's made:
Precious silver is 99.9% pure, making it more desireable and more expensive that sterling silver. It will also be much thicker than sterling giving it a beautiful wearable weight. Because it's so thick, it's worth far more than some of the other pendants you may see. It starts as a clay that can be molded, stamped and textured in any way imagineable. I roll the clay and weigh it for a uniform size. Then I press the clay into a mold made from a vintage wing pendant, making it a modern piece of history. For the initial, I weigh a piece of clay, roll it into a ball and press an actual wax seal initial into the clay making your chosen initial. No 2 pieces will ever be the same. It will be perfectly imperfect with raw edges and a rustic, old world feel with texture lines. I then let it dry, sand it to smoothness, and fire in a kiln for approx 3 hours. Once fired, it is solid 99.9% pure silver. I then wire brush it, file and sand it some more and when I'm happy with the texture I oxidize the piece to leave dark in the low areas and to highlight the high areas. Finally it goes in a tumbler for a final glimmering polish and to add extra strength. Long process, Yes. But sooooo worth it!!
